Helena Nascimento

Helena Nascimento (Lissabon, Portugal), Queen Saïda and the Moon, mixed media, 40 x 40 cm., 2009. Portuguese by birth but also Dutch by heart, she decided to move to the Netherlands in 1986 in order to follow educations in art and because of her interest in graphic art. She developed her own style, which is based on mixed media. Soon she was asked to exhibit her work all over the world, which is characterized by warm tints in combination with different materials, including silver, gold, acryl, copperplates and photographs. Her paintings are always balanced with fantasies and dreams.
